Parental Disclaimer

In my blogs I will be talking about a lot of baby related things from clothes and sleeping to food and activities.

Before you take my words as Gospel and repeat everything I do or say with your babies, I want to put out this disclaimer first so you don’t all hate on me or sue me!

I am not a healthcare professional!

And nor do I pretend to be. I have no medical experience, so please take that into account if trying anything I’ve done or suggested. Always consult your doctor or local healthcare websites (eg NHS for the UK) for any medical advice for your children.

Why should I read your advice then?

Everything I write in these blogs will be based on our experiences with Zeffen and what worked/didn’t work for us. All babies are different and no baby will like/dislike what another does 100%.

Throughout the pregnancy and babyhood, we’ve heard a lot of advice from many different people of varying capacities. It’s all been contradictory so far and I imagine that will continue!

My main piece of advice to give you all is to listen carefully to all the advice you’re given. Clench your teeth when you hear the exact opposite to what you heard before (sometimes from the same person) and take it all in. All advice comes from a good place and there is some chance it may work for you too. More importantly,  it gives you a good idea about what things you need advice for! For example you will get a lot of advice about breast feeding. You will learn so many positions you will feel you (or your partner) is performing something out of the Karma Sutra to feed her baby. You can’t possibly remember all this, but do remember one vital thing: receiving so much advice about breast feeding means 1 thing, breast feeding is super hard.

But whatever you do, don’t listen to me- what do I know? 😉
